On Saturday 9th March, Sophia Williams (Year 10C) competed at the Irish Schools Cross Country Competition in Clongowes Wood, Dublin. Sophia had a great race over the flat 2.5km course in a very competitive field of athletes who had qualified from all over Ireland taking ninth place. As a result of this Top 10 placing, Sophia has been selected for the Irish Cross Country Team to run at the SIAB International Schools race to take place in Santry on 23rd March. Well done to Sophia – all the hours of training do pay off.
