    St. Michael’s Head of the River

    70 crews from ERBC travelled to O’Briensbridgein Limerick for St Michael’s Head of the River, the first event of the 2024/25 racing season. The crews competed over a 3Km course and finished the day with 12 fantastic wins.

    WJ13 4X+ B Nicole Graham, Jessica Miller, Holly Shaw, Sophie Collum finished first ahead of the crew from Castleconnell BC

    MJ15 4X+ Olie Powell, Joshua Ihnat, Milena Remedios (cox) Cillian Donaghy, Matthew Montgomery overcame the challenge from Muckross and Galway RC winning in a time of 12.04.1

    WJ16 4+ Zara Welsh, Isabella Wright, Jessica Thompson (cox) Naomi Robinson, Emily Black 

    WJ13 8X+ Beth Bradley, Michaela Ihnat, Nicole Graham, Kaitlyn Read, Rachel Cathcart, Emily Stewart, Holly Shaw, Clodagh Donaghy, Maeve Roulston- McAuliffe 

    Isabella Wright and Emily Black took first and second spots in the WJ15 1X

    Cillian Donaghy had a great race in the Junior 15 single scull and took the win over Lee Valley’s Creedon by 7.3 secs.

    Josh Allen came 2nd in the J14 1X category, considering the fact that he was racing boys a year older he did extremely well.

    J13 8X+ Josh Allen, George Elliott, Noah Corrigan, Oliver Collins, Rachel Cathcart (cox) Louis McIvor, Levi Thompson, Luke Fivey, Eli Irvine  

    In the MJ16 1X race Jake Sembhi rowed his heart out to come 4th in 12.45.5 which was a great result.

    MJ14 4X+A Harry Welsh, Evan Clarke, Jessica Thompson (cox) Oliver Jennings, James McAleer beat the boys from Castleconnell B and Shannon B

    WJ14 8X+  

    MJ18 4X– Justin Smith, Hugo McChesney, Jamie Dunlop and Ben Cameron won in a tight race over Muckross RC by 0.4 secs

    WJ16 4X+ Tori Davis, Mya Morris, Sienna Howe, Hannah Armstrong and cox Amy Lipscomb won the category over Athlone BC in a time of 13.49.2

    Zara Welsh came 3rd in the WJ16 1X.

    Christian Timoney and Austin Cassidy won the MJ16 pair over the other 3 ERBC crews.

    MJ14 8X+ Oliver Jennings, Evan Clarke. James McAleer, Caelan Moore, Harry Welsh, Reece Brady, Lewis Coalter, Edward Dawa and cox Rachel Cathcart

    Many thanks to all the coaches who travelled to Limerick with the rowers. The next event for the rowers is Erne Fours Head on Saturday, 16thNovember. If anyone can help out with the running of the event please email enniskillenrbc@gmail.com
