A meeting of School Council was held on Thursday 22nd January on the Algeo Drive Site. Alfie Convey (14E) was elected to serve as Chairperson for the 2025-26 academic year with Sarah Speer (13C) being voted in as Secretary. Council members were consulted and agreed upon a range of products such as heated wheat packs that could be purchased to support our girls during their periods. To further the work of our Period Dignity Scheme, Ava Connolly (10C), Holly Barkley (10E), Cerys Robinson (12E), Hannah Johnston (14A) and Chloe Robinson (14C) were elected to our Period Dignity Team. Our Head Boy and Head Girl reported on how the Pupil Leadership’s Better, Kinder, Greener initiative was playing out across the school. There was much enthusiasm for our chosen charity event this year, Beats for Breath, in aid of Pulmonary Fibrosis – details will be shared with the school community over the coming weeks. The final part of the meeting involved pupils working in Year Groups to work on updating our Code of Conduct within the school’s Positive Behaviour Policy.
