The school was delighted to host Maiden Voyage Dance company’s exciting contemporary dance double bill Brink and The Here Trio on Tuesday 11th February.
75 GSCE and A Level students from Enniskillen Royal were joined by students from St Kevin’s College, Lisnaskea and Erne Integrated College to explore the themes of the dance pieces in a movement workshop lead by the company prior to watching the performances in the Steele Hall.
The students particularly enjoyed the tension and dynamics of the relationship between the dancers in Brink and were literally on the edge of their seats, watching the dancers push, pull, jump and balance on the precipice of the tightly defined space.
The music and drums featured in The Here Trio fascinated some of the musicians in the audience.
It was a real privilege to host this highly acclaimed work which has received rave reviews and garnered significant press coverage on its tour.
