Last week our A’ level Art & Design students enjoyed visiting the Longest Yarn Exhibition in St Macartin’s Cathedral. The Longest Yarn is a striking 80m long exhibition of knitted and crocheted scenes of the D-Day landings.
Touring nationally and internationally, and created with guidance from historians, the scenes are retained to be historically accurate, each one selected by the creator to depict the story of this momentous day in history.
Each piece has been made with thought and care.
The exhibition dates have been extended and it will run again from 14th – 28th February from 10am – 4pm daily.
