A super afternoon of rugby today as our Year 8 boys endured torrential rainfall in matches against Omagh Academy. 42 boys made up three teams each playing very evenly contested games.
The A team played out a fierce encounter against a very physical Omagh side with the referee struggling to keep score and both teams claiming the win 😂
The B team played a faster, looser game in which both teams racking up tries reaching double digits but the ERGS boys prevailed in the end by a score line of 14-11 👏
The C team made up of many boys who were playing their very first rugby match probably impressed the most. Some ferocious defending was back up by brilliant attacking play and the boys ran out 11-9 winners 💪
A brilliant intro to their fledgling rugby careers in school and more matches to look forward to after half term as they travel to Wallace High School on Friday 8th November!!
