The U13’s hosted Sullivan on a dry but cloudy day yesterday. A composite team of Yr8’s & 9’s was selected with C Gregg acting as Captain for the day. Whilst losing the toss and put into bat ERGS showed some determined & stubborn resistance at the crease racking up a decent 48 all out off 18.3 overs from the allocated 20 overs. J Rutledge & I Mathers were joint top scorers with S Varma, H Swindle & C Gregg also making valuable contributions.
Sullivan only required a run rate of 2.5 an over but made hard work of it from the off with some disciplined line & length bowling. C Gregg took 2 wickets in a pacey spell with A Johnston & D Maguire also taking a brace of wickets each.
Eventually Sullivan made the total finishing 50 for 6 off 14 overs to win by 4 wickets.
