Dear Parent/Guardian
In line with the Minister of Education’s guidance Enniskillen Royal Grammar School will be open for pupils in Years 8-10 who are children of key workers who require this service in line with governmental advice. We understand this to be workers who are unable to facilitate their children remaining at home in line with social distancing guidance.
A list of key workers issued by the Department of Education is available below.
Pupils should report to reception on our Cooper Crescent site at 9am. School will finish at 3.30 pm. Parents will be responsible for transport to and from school. They are not required to wear uniform: they should bring a break and packed lunch and drinks with them. Provision will be made for pupils entitled to Free School Meals.
Pupils will work on tasks set by their teachers for their year group within the on line curriculum. There will be no formal classroom teaching. They will be supervised at all times on site and will be required to observe PHA guidance on handwashing and social distancing.
Please send up to date contact details with your son or daughter.
If you wish to avail of this provision it would assist us greatly if you could let us know in advance of Monday by e-mailing info@ergs.enniskillen.ni.sch.uk If you have any queries at any stage please do not hesitate to contact me at school.
With continued best wishes to you all at this challenging time.
Yours sincerely
Elizabeth Armstrong
