Our Year 12 Netball Squad attended their annual Blitz, this year hosted in the fabulous new gym at Devenish College.
There were 7 schools in attendance giving a total of 6 matches each. Our girls played some excellent Netball throughout the tournament with all 12 players getting game time, a real team effort.
Results were as follows;
ERGS vs Devenish College: 2-0 win
ERGS vs St Aidan’s, Derrylin: 4-1 win
ERGS vs St Fanchea’s College: 4-1 win
ERGS vs Drumglass HS: 1-1 draw
ERGS vs St Kevin’s, Lisnaskea: 5-2 win
ERGS vs Erne Integrated: 4-0 win
ERGS were joint 1st with Drumglass HS – 17 pts each. Devenish – 3rd on 9 points. St Fanchea’s 4th on 8 points. Erne Integrated 5th on 6 points. St Kevin’s 6th on 3 points and St Aidan’s 7th on 3 points.
The top 2 (possibly 3) teams now progress to the cup blitz on 2nd December in Tyrone, venue to be confirmed. The remaining schools progress to the plate blitz.
This is a superb effort in what is, this year, a re-vamped Blitz competition for the Year 8-12 Year Groups.
Year 11 will play next on 10th December at Erne Integrated College.
