On Friday, the Year 8 hockey team travelled to Castlederg High School for their league fixture. The match was played over three 20-minute thirds, allowing the squads to gain valuable game time.
In the opening third, Ciara McCusker and Lily Coalter each found the net to give the team a strong start. The second third saw further dominance, with goals from Amelia Dickey, Emily Cadden, and Isabella Mathers, while Castlederg managed to pull one back.
The final third was played as a friendly, and Charlotte Cadden rounded off the scoring to secure a convincing 6–1 win.
A fantastic first victory for the girls, who now look ahead to their next match against Fivemiletown College on Tuesday morning.
