Anti Bullying week took place between 14th-18th November and had the theme “Reach Out”. Mr McDevitt delivered an assembly to all year 8 pupils to start off the week. He reminded pupils that bullying affects millions of lives and can leave us feeling hopeless. But it doesn’t have to be this way. If we challenge it, we can change it. And it starts by reaching out. Whether it’s in school, at home, in the community or online, he encouraged all pupils to “Reach Out” and show each other the support we all need. He encouraged them to Reach out to someone they trust if they needed to talk and reminded them of who they could speak to in school if they needed support.
Pupils were then ask to design their own balloon based on this years theme. We celebrated their efforts today during assembly and presented prizes to ten of our pupils who presented excellent messages based on the theme of “Reaching Out”. Well done Year 8.
