A huge thank you to Fionnuala or McMenamin from Young Enterprise, who came into school on Tuesday the 21st of March to deliver the Yr10 Project Business workshop.
Project Business expands students’ understanding of business and economics with hands-on enterprise challenges in areas such as business investment, marketing, public relations, supply and demand, recruitment and job interviews.
The activities completed during the day included:
Bead game to explore business fundamentals such as stakeholders, investment, taxes and profit
Problem solve a customer complaint and conduct a role play interview
Board game to illustrate the way in which marketing in influences product sales and profitability
Design a job description to attract candidates for a job vacancy
Explore the choices that businesses make in order to take social responsibility for their actions
Our year 10 pupils engaged brilliantly in the days activities, working in mixed groups and having to challenge themselves to problem solve, communicate and work effectively in teams with others they did not know. Well done to all involved.
