Over the past few weeks, Year 11 Business Studies students have enjoyed participating in a Dragons Den Competition. Groups of students had to create an innovative business product/service aimed at teenagers in Northern Ireland. Each group then pitched their ideas to a panel followed by a tough series of questions regarding their product or service. Students learnt many key skills and look forward to launching their own businesses in the future. The following groups of students in each Business Studies class won:
Butlers Chargers – Solar Powered Phone Chargers and Customised Phone Products
(Ethan Downey, Seamus Greene, Lauren Webb, Justin Smith and Skye Simmons)
CustomShoes – Customised trainers and shoes
(Alfie Savage, Lewis McKeown, Nancy Scott and Rianna Mulligan)
Doggy Day Care – An upmarket dog grooming business, also selling ethically produced products
(Rachel Cathcart, Emily McFarland, Levi McVeigh and Jack Palmer)
