Two evenly talented ERGS Senior girls teams took to the splendid pitches at Omagh on Tuesday.
The Red team started off against a keen Omagh Academy team but beat them 6-0.
Next up for them were the Mt Lourdes B team whom they beat 4-0.
Their 3rd game was their toughest challenge of the day but they managed to get through with a 3-2 win against a 6 player Fivemiletown HS team, to whom they loaned a player.
In their penultimate game they beat an excellent Devenish College team 2-0 and then they beat Mt Lourdes A team 5-0.
The Red team ran in 20 tries and conceded only 2.
The Blue team started their day against a spirited Devenish College side but beat them 5-0. Next up they beat a strong Mt Lourdes A team 5-0 also.
Their 3rd game saw them beat Mt Lourdes B team 4-0 and then they faced Fivemiletown HS whom they beat 4-1.
Their final game was a run out against Omagh Academy where they won 5-0.
The Blue team brilliantly scored 23 tries and only conceded just the 1 try.
The two teams represented themselves and their school in an excellent fashion and had a super day in the sun in Omagh. They know there will definitely be tougher tests ahead, but they have made quite a statement to the other schools for their first run out.
