Well done to our two outstanding teams of reading stars who competed in the regional heat of the NRC Quiz on 9th March. Uma de Naipir (Y9) Emma Bullock (Y10), Jake Stubbs (Y8), Freya Boyd McManus (Y9), Lin Ruo Yang (Y10), Oli Carty (Y9), Solenn Beeson (Y9) and Charlotte Wysner (Y9) all showed impressive knowledge and teamwork during two and a half hours of questions covering all aspects of children’s literature. Team A (Uma, Emma, Jake and Freya) ended in a tiebreak for 1st place and were just pipped to the post by one question by Strathearn College. They picked up a prize of £60 in book vouchers for second place position.
