Congratulations to our Deputy Head Boy, James Morrison, who was placed 2nd in the final of the Aberdeen Angus Youth Development Competition on Saturday 30th September. To reach the final, all participants had to take part in a qualifying day at a host farm, where over 400 people attended workshops across the UK. Competitors were assessed in several different disciplines, such as ringcraft, stockjudging and clipping & dressing an animal. The top 12 competitors from the uk with the highest scores in each section then progressed to the UK and Ireland finals. The final this year took place in Surrey in the south of England.
With scores in the various categories calculated, James was awarded second place in the Intermediate Section. Having reached the final six times, James has had a wonderful opportunity to meet a wide range of contacts, make new friends and has actually even received job offers! We extend our heartiest to James on this amazing achievement.
