After a huge week of inter-house competition kicked-off by Sports Day last Thursday, the Final House Point Totals have now been calculated.
A the start of the week Cuilcagh were the clear leaders with a 200 point advantage over their 3 rivals BUT after a busy week of competition including Mondays’ Inter-house events and capped off with 3 successful Taskmaster competitions, the final scores are very different!
Impressive participation rates and sporting performances on Friday and Monday mean that last year’s Champions Belmore have defended their title from last year and are once again HOUSE CHAMPIONS. Trien, who were in 4th position last week have moved to 2nd place assisted by three convincing wins in the last three days of Taskmaster. A disappointed Cuilcagh, who were this year s’ favourites to win, find themselves relegated to 3rd place overall following a poor turnout at Sports Day and Inter-house day. Benaughlin finish 4th for 2024; they have struggled all year to find consistency in participation rates and competition success and will need to improve these in 2024-25 if they want to get their foot on the podium.
A huge well done and thank you to all those pupils and staff who got involved this year, and a particular thank you must go to Mr Butler for is relentless enthusiasm and efforts to create the NEW and ‘very popular’ Taskmaster event to round-off the year’s competition.
