The Year 14 Nutrition and Food Science cohort were exceptionally lucky to receive a presentation by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council on the role of an Environmental Health Practitioner as well Food Safety. This presentation allowed them to gain hands on experience with microbiology in the form of swab usage and bacterial contamination through the use of the UV light machine for hand washing. An excellent presentation to allow for the application of their knowledge and understanding regarding key elements of Food Safety.
