This year, International Womans Day was celebrated on March 8th. To mark the occasion some of our Year 8 pupils attended a special event in the Lakeland Youth Forum which allowed them to take part in various workshops with other girls from local schools. A special mention has to go to Emma Bullock who was helping to run the workshops and to Summer Armstrong (both Yr12 pupils) who spoke so confidently and proudly at the beginning of the day on women’s rights. A pleasure to listen to and an excellent role model to our youngest year group.
