After a busy final month of inter-house competition, all points have been submitted and added together and this year’s champions are Cuilcagh with an impressive 2279 points.
Cuilcagh have had an impressive year managing to stay in the top two for the duration, and although their performances in Sports day an Inter-house day weren’t great, they managed to do just enough to stay ahead of the competition. In second place and probably the most impressive result of the season is Benaughlin. Benaughlin have spent the majority of the year in fourth place, but their sporting prowess came to the fore in June seeing them claw their way back into a very respectable 2nd place on the podium with 2142 points. The battle for 3rd and 4th was then left between Belmore and Trien. Unbelievably out of the 8566 total house points awarded this season, there were only 25 points separating the two. In 3rd place for 2025 is Trien with 2085 points and disappointingly for the Belmore Hares and last year’s Champions, they drop to 4th with 2060 points.
Special mentions this season must also go to our three top point achievers. In first place is Faye Knox from 9C (Trien) who scored 43 points. In second place Ava Connolly also from 9C (Belmore) scoring 33 points, and in 3rd place is Leila Laporionok from 9A (Belmore) with 27 points.
Another fantastic year of Competition and congratulations to Cuilcagh!!
