Well done to Cathair McCusker 10B, Holly Wallace 10B, Holly McCabe 10A, Hrydia Verma 10D, Finn McEvoy 9D, Charlie Hetherington 8B, Jude Johnston Rice 8B and Jacob McCaffrey 9A who competed in the UK What On Earth Quiz on Thursday 6th November and put in an absolutely sterling performance.
The quiz is a national quiz based on general knowledge from the What On Earth magazine which is a new library resource. The magazine is packed full of fascinating facts on a wide range of topics from animals, space and nature to art, sport and history. Our 2 young teams have spent the last few weeks practising and testing their knowledge, and performed excellently in the quiz with hardly any questions missed. It was a timed quiz and the final four winners were separated by seconds so I am confident it was timing that beat us in the end. The winners were Arden Academy, Bullers Wood, Ryde School and St Martin’s school.
