The Inters will now face a further team in the Shield competition which should happen in the New Year.
In addition to this, The Year 10s were taken to their Fermanagh Blitz Tournament on Thursday 20th November by Miss Johnston and Senior pupil, Eve Balfour.
The girls played 5 schools, beating 4 of them and narrowly missing beating the 6th by 3 goals to 2. This placed them 2ndoverall. They will now go on to the Fermanagh and Tyrone Cup competition in January.
The Year 9s have their first competition in January with the Finals being in February.
Currently, we have 4 senior pupils who help us regularly at the Year 9 and 10 training on a Tuesday afternoon: Anna Cairns, Eve Balfour, Jodie Thompson and Maria Bullock. The help that these 4 pupils give us is invaluable and provides a great link for the Junior’s seeing their peers taking such an intertest in them.
The year 8s have their first competition in February with their finals in March.
Although their Monday training has only just begun, we are seeing some quite talented pupils showing up. This all bodes well for the future of Netball in ERGS.
