We were delighted to welcome Professor Nigel Scollan, Head of School of Biological Sciences at Queens University, Belfast and Vice President of the British and Irish Society of Animal Science to school to present our ABP Youth Angus Challenge winners with a BISAS Commendation Award for Communication Excellence in Animal Science. This award supported by ADHB ‘recognises those, working in animal science, agriculture and related areas, who excel in sharing how science enhances sustainable animal systems, especially to audiences beyond the scientific community’
Congratulations to our outstanding ABP winners whose Soil Analysis project impressed the BISAS judges in a competition which is aimed primarily at third level academic and industry researchers.
Thank you to George Mullan ABP Northern Ireland Director and Orlaith McLaughlin Education Manager with ABP for providing the excellent opportunity of the ABP competition for our pupils and for their most positive support in encouraging them to enter for this special award.

Class of 2017
Subjects Studied at A’ Level - Business Studies, Geography and Physical Education
After completing my A’ Levels as part of the inaugural leaving class of Enniskillen Royal Grammar School in 2017, I developed a clear ambition to pursue a career in business.
I progressed to Ulster University to study Business with Accountancy. During my degree, I secured a 12-month internship with Enterprise Mobility, which provided invaluable experience and helped shape my understanding of business operations.
Following my graduation in 2021, I joined Enterprise Mobility through their Management Trainee Programme. Since then, I have progressed from Assistant Manager in Belfast to Branch Manager, receiving three promotions along the way. Most recently, I relocated to Edinburgh to manage the Waverley Train Station branch.
Alongside my career, I have continued my involvement in sport, representing teams including Ballinamallard United FC, Lisbellaw United FC, and the Ulster University team. I have also been actively involved in diversity and inclusion initiatives within Enterprise Mobility, leading the Race and Religion group and organising events that promote awareness and inclusivity.
I am grateful to all of the teachers and mentors who supported me throughout my education. In particular, I would like to thank Miss Donnelly for inspiring my interest in business and Mr Beddard for his encouragement and guidance throughout my school career.
