On the 19th of January three pupils who were part of the 2025 Ulster Project, Tori Benson (Yr12), Ella Kerr (Yr 12) and Tylan Whittaker (Year 11) travelled to Switzerland as part of the ‘Empower 2 Transform’ Programme they are currently completing. The trip to Switzerland was a cultural exchange programme with young people from Fermanagh, Switzerland, Israel and Palestine taking part. The young people spent the week learning about each other’s cultures and religions through discussions, presentations and cooking dishes from their home country for everyone to try. They also competed in winter games, skiing, tobogganing, snow hiking and igloo building which they later got the opportunity to spend the night in.
Applications are currently open for this year’s Ulster Project for young people born in 2011. Applications close at 12pm (noon) on Friday 6th February with the interviews being held on 14th February. For any further information please visit their website www.ulsterprojectenniskillen.org.uk
