On Friday 4th October, five our our Senior Wind Players had the opportunity to attend an event kindly hosted by Devenish College with the Band of the Royal Marines, Scotland. Erin Trimble, Abbey Johnston, Emma McElwaine, Emma Fawcett and Anna Little, featured in the photo above along with LCpl Tom Boother (French Horn) and Captain Ann Miller (Director of Music) participated in band rehearsals working on a number of pieces including march style music and film themes. They were then included to perform with the band in an afternoon concert for KS3 pupils. It was a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to work and perform alongside professional musicians and we extend our thanks to Mr Simon Mowbray (Principal) and the staff of Devenish College for their generous welcome and hospitality.
