116 rowers in 28 crews from ERBC had a very early start on Saturday morning to travel to Castleconnell Boat Club for the first race of the season. This was the first experience of racing for the new rowers who only started at the Club in September and they all rowed extremely well.
Many thanks to everyone who travelled with the kids and to all who helped get the boats rigged and de rigged and with getting the kids on and off the water. A special word of thanks to all the coxes who spent a lot of time on the water on a very cold day. Thanks to Head of Rowing, Derek Holland who transported the boats to and from Limerick and to Donnelly Group who lent the Club a pick up to tow the trailer.
The Club are delighted to have come away with 11 category wins including both the Junior 18 eights events. The MJ 18 8+ were the fastest crew over the 3.2 km course, the only one to complete the race in under 10 minutes at 9.58, many congratulations to them. We had wins in
