To mark Children’s Mental Health Week we are delighted to introduce our new “Read For Empathy” collection for 2022. Each book is carefully chosen to empower and educate, as well as being really enjoyable reads – “This collection will help parents and educators to surround children with empathy experiences, inspiring them to understand others better” (Miranda McKearney OBE, Empathy Lab Founder). Our students can come along and browse these and a wide range of books and self-help resources in our newly created “Empathy” area in Cooper Crescent library. Why not take 5 minutes at break or lunchtime to chat with friends, do some mindfulness colouring or browse the new books in a relaxed chilled out space. Everyone is welcome!
