This summer has seen a catalogue of achievements for 6th former Katie Hetherington
Katie represented Ireland at the 4 Nations U18 7s in Birmingham 22/23 July 18. They beat the 3 nations on Sat, played Scotland on Sun in the Semi Final and then England in the final. Ireland won all 5 matches
She represented Ulster in the 7s Interpros (she wasn’t allowed to play in the 2nd series, as she was in the Ireland squad – the same for all 4 Provinces players who were in the Ireland squad)
Katie has been training all summer with Ulster U18 and Cooke RFC. She played with Cooke in a 7s tournament during July.
She captained Ulster U18 v the Canadian tour side (x2), then played for Ulster Seniors against Connacht in a pre-InterPro warm up match. She captained Ulster U18 against Connacht. Connacht won in the last 5 min with 2 x penalties.
She played against Leinster on Sun 9th Sept at Portadown, then will play against Munster in Dublin on Sat 15th.
