On 26 January Dan Freedman, author of the Jamie Johnston books which is now a TV programme, visited with the Year 9 students on Lough Shore site. Dan started with a brief introduction about himself and his books which was followed by a very interactive session with students asking questions. Whilst Dan answered their questions he also elaborated on his experience with professional footballers, his role as journalist for the FA and about the Jamie Johnson series of books.
For their challenging questions, Lloyd Dane-Evans and Sean Thornton received autographed footballs and books from Dan. Students had an opportunity to speak with Dan whilst he autographed their books.
