It was great to be able to host our neighbours Devenish College for a Thursday afternoon friendly to give both sides some game time in readiness for the coming months of competitive fixtures. Both sides played some quality rugby showing the impact of recent training and practice. The ERGS boys, in particular, showed a vast improvement on their tackling and spreading of the ball from broken play compared to their previous outing against Rainey and in the end we’re rewarded with a 6-4 try victory.
An enjoyable afternoon and great to see so many friends from clubs and primary schools catching up after the game.
