Castlederg HS Report
Tuesday 19th Dec saw the U13 and U14 get back to matches after several cancellations due to weather. They both travelled to Castlederg HS on a cold but mostly dry day.
The U13s were up first. Both teams started brightly but it was ERGS who got the first chance with a penalty corner on 4mins. A well struck ball from Eva squeezed past the post defender and the keeper making it 1-0. Castlederg fought back and started to dominate the midfield and on 11mins got their own break through 1-1.
The second half was end to end with chances for both teams but unfortunately it was Castlederg who were the more clinical with their chances, scoring 2 goals in the last 5mins. Final score 3-1.
The U14s were up next in what is a local rivalry with Tori’s mum coaching the Castlederg team! It was an end to end game with chances for both teams. However some excellent defence from the backs and U13 goal keeper Emily kept the clean sheet and a final score of 0-0.
