Over the last few weeks the amount and quality of work being produced by pupils has been superb, with many really engaging well in their online learning. As a result, starting this week, we thought it would be a nice idea to start sharing examples of this work in a weekly Celebration Gallery. Don’t worry if your work isn’t included this week as teachers have been sending though all kinds of material that we will keep uploading over the coming days and weeks.
Year 8 Raspberry Ruffle Packaging – The task was to create a chocolate box to provide ‘raspberry ruffles’ as a gift, whilst using recyclable materials and complying with food labelling regulations. Some pupils also made the raspberry ruffles (ingredients depending). They have done an exceptional job and we are really proud of them. They really do deserve the praise!!! – Miss Wynne
Year 8 Tempest Costume Design – Some of very good examples of costume designs for the Tempest submitted by Year 8, all designs very appropriate for the characters, well labelled and great colourful drawings. Great work everyone – Mrs McDowell
Year 9 Technology, Mobile Phone Stands – some really creative design ideas, well displayed and quite useful during lockdown for look though google classroom or watching Netflix!!

Yr10 Chemistry – Two excellent pieces of independent careers research from Chloe and Katherine as they investigated science based careers during the GCSE options process – well done girls!!
Yr11 Spanish – Mrs Crawford was very complimentary about the level of engagement of the GCSE Spanish classes and sent in the following postcard..
Year 11 English – Samantha’s writing task of an examination style speech on body image was chosen because she displayed many of the essential criteria such as excellent paragraphing with clear topic sentences; clear sequence to the argument; deliberate appeal to the audience; sparky, engaging tone; persuasive anecdotes and insightful examples.- Miss Heap
Year 13 English – Revision task of play A Streetcar Named Desire using literal or symbolic images for the key characters Blanche and Stanley. Pupils asked to support their image choices with textual support as well as analysing their significance in relation to the plot, characterisation, context.
