Two crews from ERBC have gone to Henley Royal Regatta which starts tomorrow, Wednesday, 11th August and runs until Sunday.
The girls’ eight will start their campaign tomorrow at 12 noon with a knock out race against Shrewsbury School. Nikki Kernaghan, Laura Turner, Jenny Little, Chloe Thompson, Aine McCaffrey, Katie Donnelly, Zoe Elliott, Martha McBrien and cox Grace Ralph hope to build on their success at Henley Women’s Regatta last month in the inaugural Junior Women’s Eight event.
The boys Quadruple Sculls crew of Tim Murphy, Charlie Smith, Lewis Nixon and Tom Blake will start their racing on Thursday after receiving a bye in the first round. They will race against the winner of the encounter between Exeter and Northwick which takes place tomorrow afternoon. The timetable for Thursday will be published after racing has been completed on Wednesday.
Good luck to both crews and many thanks to Mr Holland, Barney Rix, Clare Wilson and Richard Smith who have accompanied the rowers to Henley.
