As part of their study, History of Art pupils travelled to Dublin with their teachers on Friday 5th May to see an exhibition of 40 major works, including four by the prominent Italian master, Caravaggio at the National Gallery. Pupils were given an informative tour on this exhibition and also highlights of the main collection which included works by renowned artists including Monet and Picasso. Pupils also travelled to the Irish Museum of Modern Art to see 40 works by Lucien Freud. This was an exciting opportunity for pupils to see live work from artists they had studied closely as part of their course.
