ERGS Year 8 student Max Jones (Kesh) recently represented Team Ireland at the 53rd edition of the Coupe de l’Avenir, held in Baisieux, Belgium — one of Europe’s most prestigious youth motocross events.
Delivering impressive consistency throughout the weekend, Max finished 10th in Race 1 and 9th in Race 2, securing two top-ten results. His performance earned him the highest score among the Irish riders and helped the Team Ireland 65cc squad finish 5th overall, just four points shy of a podium position.
This international appearance rounds off an exceptional year for the young rider, who has also competed in the British Bridgestone Masters Championship, the European EMX Championship, and the Junior World Championships for Team Ireland in France. Max also claimed victory in the Nora MX Irish MasterKids Championship in Ireland.
