Five pupils from Enniskillen Royal Grammar School competed in the Northern Ireland Schools Pistol Shooting Championships at Intershoot Range, Dungannon on Sunday 8th October. Maeve Rolston-McAuliffe (Y9) finished up in an impressive second position in the Junior Section and has qualified for a place in the British National Schools Pistol Shooting Championship Final. Alice Black (Y9) was also placed tenth in the Junior Section.
The Intermediate Team of Emily Black (Y11); Tori Lilly (Y10) and William Moore (Y11) were placed first in the team competition and therefore have qualified to return to the British Championships for the second year in a row. Emily took third place in the Intermediate Individual Competition and will also compete as an individual at the Finals.
The British National Schools Pistol Shooting Championship Final will be held in early February in Staffordshire and the members from Enniskillen Royal Grammar School will continue to train as part of the twelve strong team who will be representing Northern Ireland at the Finals.
