The Fermanagh and Omagh District Council Sports Forum Sports Awards for 2017 took place last Friday Night.
Nominations for swimming from Enniskillen Royal Grammar School were in the following categories:
Juvenile Sports Personality of the Year
Ellie McCartney – Swimming
Sophia Williams – Athletics and Swimming
Junior Sports Team of the Year
Enniskillen Lakelanders U16 Relay Team – Including Lewis McCartney and Kealan McShea
Although the above nominees were unsuccessful Ellie McCartney was awarded the final trophy of the night – Outstanding Achievement of 2017 for her performances – most recently winning the Women’s Open Ulster Long Course 200m Breaststroke title.
