Our visiting author, Priscilla Morris was very impressed with the creative collaboration that took place on the afternoon of Friday 5th October when our pupils played host to pupils from Mount Lourdes, St Michael’s College and Erne Integrated College. Using the Five Stages of Narrative and reading from her recently published novel, she guided pupils through the creative writing process. Priscilla shared her experience of aspiring to be a writer when she was at school and how she finally made that a reality with her novel, Black Butterflies. Who knows, she may have inspired some of our budding writers to take that leap of faith. As the saying goes, ‘If you can’t see it, you can’t be it’. Thank you to the Fermanagh Live committee for giving us the opportunity to host this very worthwhile event and to Fermanagh and Omagh District Council for providing the funding. Thanks to all the pupils for their enthusiastic engagement.
