On Thursday 14th December, Year 14 Wind Band members and Vocalists, Finn Maguire, April McGuigan and Victoria Moore all performed at a special Carol Service for the Ely Centre in St Macartin’s Cathedral. The instrumentalists played beforehand and led some of the congregational carols during the service, directed by Mrs A Bloomfield. During the service of Carols and Lessons there were several vocal soloists including pupils from Enniskillen Royal GS. Year 10 pupil, Victoria Moore sang a beautiful version of ‘Hallelujah’ accompanied by Mr Glenn Moore, the cathedral organist on the piano. Year 14 pupils Finn Maguire and April McGuigan sang two duets, including the serene ‘ Angel’s Carol’ by John Rutter and ‘O Holy Night’. They were accompanied by Mrs A Bloomfield. The service was a poignant and yet uplifting one and it was a privilege for our pupils to be able to attend and perform.
