At the weekend, year 9 pupil Sophia Williams (Pictured 1366) ran in the London Mini Marathon as part of the Northern Ireland squad. Sophia was chosen following her fourth place position at the Ulsters Cross Country earlier this year, and took her place at the start line in London where she ran in the British Athletics Road Race on the last 3 miles of the marathon taking in the sights of London before the elite runners came in. She ran a fantastic 21:05 in the blistering heat. Fantastic achievement Sophia, Well done !!
