The School of Mathematics and Physics at Queen’s University Belfast are excited to announce that this summer we’ll be running the STEM #Unfiltered Photography Competition open to students and grown-ups from Key Stage 2 up across Ireland and Northern Ireland and it’s open for entries now!
Eye-catching photographs should be related to Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths (STEM) together with a short description of the underlying science. We want your students to look for the science around them, in their everyday lives and share it with us.
The winning entries will be chosen based on the text, which should share the students understanding and passion for the topic with their peers, as well as the aesthetic nature of the photograph. The top entries will be featured in our online gallery celebrating science, and will receive certificates recognising their work. First and second prize from each age-category will also receive an amazon voucher as well as several runners up. Some of the top entries will also be selected for display as part of NI Science Festival 2023. For more details see the website: http://go.qub.ac.uk/STEM2022
