A busy day at the Meadows! The Novice team of Sasha Milne on Buddy, Natalie Somerville on Coco and Sophia Williams on Coill Dearmad William all performed really well. One rider with 4 faults, one with a double clear and one with 8 faults. Unlucky clips when trying for speed, certainly not reflective of the great riding! Super to have the Novice team continued and points gathered towards the final at the end of November. Thanks to all who made this possible when other riders were unavailable this week.
The Open team of Natalie Somerville on ISHD Convoy, Sophia Williams on Clonlee and Patrick Williams on William (fresh from an excellent win with the U14s at the schools rugby in Banbridge) had a super bit of riding with only 4 faults, one double clear and another 4 faults. Again, lovely jumping and all under 30 secs. We were just pipped out of places. Well done to all horses and riders.
Finally, after a very long wait, the premier event began late at 5pm. Rain had really come in by then, so soggy people and horses!! Natalie was up 9th and jumped a double clear on ISHD – faster than 2 weeks ago. Well done. We all went home before results of places were in.
Thanks to all the parents, coaches, riders and horses/ponies – as usual, I had a great day watching everyone!
Next event… Leg 3 – 19th October 2019 @ The Meadows
