Last week the Under 16 footballers played Devenish College in the Quarter Final of the NISFA Plate. The game was a tense and very closely contested affair. The game finished 1-1. The game went straight to penalties with ERGS keeping their nerve to win and take their place in the semi finals.
Round 1 of the competition saw ERGS up against Omagh High School. The game ended 3-3 with ERGS winning on penalties. Next up was Ballyclare High School in Round 2. This was a tough test and a great game of football to watch. The game ended up 1-1 after ERGS equalised with 10 minutes left on the clock. A tense penalty shootout resulted in ERGS winning 5 -4.
The boys will now meet Bangor Academy on Wednesday 22nd March in Cookstown for the Semi-final. All the very best of luck to Mr Dickson and the team.
