On Saturday 24th February, the Medallion Team met Ballymena Academy in the semi- final of their Shield competition. In a tough game where they came up against the physicality of much bigger players they played with skill, courage and the lion heart which is one of the many core strengths of this superb squad. On the day Ballymena Academy emerged as winners. The Medallions can however be justly proud of how well they played right to the end of the game, never giving up, never losing the disciplined passion and unbreakable team spirit which makes them stand out and which has allowed them to reach the final stages of their competition for the first time in over a century in the boys’ rugby history of the school.
