Well, what an eventful day we had. Some more than others!!!
Two teams and two individuals – 9 girls in total!
Team one (85cm) had a fab start, with Chloe Cathcart getting a zippy double clear on Queenie. Erin Wallace also got round on Georgie with no poles knocked down, just a couple of refusals and frustration on the part of Erin!. Unfortunately, Molly and Annabelle fell foul of fence 3 ( quite a few teams had issues at this fence) – and had to retire. A real shame as they were both going so well!
Ruby went in the individual’s (85cm) on her new horse Roxy. They knew that just getting round would be an achievement as Roxy’s bit was annoying her. The first 6 fences were great, then Roxy wanted to go one way and Ruby the other at Fence 7. Sadly, they parted company, and Ruby landed badly on her foot. Unfortunately as a result, she broke her ankle and will now be our chief cheerleader until she is fully healed. We all wish you a very speedy recovery, Ruby!
Team 2 (75cm) had a delayed start and ended up riding in the rain – not pleasant. Every single member of the team – Lily Moore on Izzy, Isabelle Wallace on Bess, Emma McCaldin on Katman and Molly Lee on Amy all got double clears resulting in 6th place Rosettes. Congratulations to them all!!!
Finally, Tori made a return to the Meadows, jumping in the 1m Individuals. They had a great round with just one pole down; nice and solid, just to get William accustomed to Arena jumping again.
So – a mixed day for pupils and parents/grandparents! Everyone did a fabulous job both in and out of the arena and I thank you all!
