Grace Ralph in year 10 has received the “Judges Highly Commended” award as part of the Northern Ireland Young Engineers Leaders Award.
As part of this project Grace was tasked with Interviewing an engineer. (Thanks to Nigel Kane from the Royal Navy for spending time to speak with our pupils). After speaking with Nigel, Grace had to research engineering in general and find problems an engineered solution could solve. Alongside her annotated drawings she wrote an accompanying letter to persuade engineers to choose her design to build.
Her entry was judged by engineers and has now been shortlisted for an exhibition which will take place later this month at the University of Ulster. Well done Grace!!
