The A-Level Government & Politics students enjoyed a very successful jam-packed, whistle-stop tour of London and the Houses of Parliament amidst the excitement of the 2019 General Election. Highlights included the Politics students getting to see Boris Johnson give a speech outside 10 Downing Street, standing in the House of Commons Chamber and Division Lobbies, sitting in a Select Committee room, and having a parliamentary debate. Pupils also got to experience some famous London sights, such as the Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, and even some Christmas shopping in Harrods. On the other hand, the election results left some of our pupils in a state of shock and bewilderment. A great time and experience was had all round.
