Neptune Regatta took place on Saturday with 60 members of our mainly junior club leaving at 6am to start racing at 8am in Dublin.
It was a long and very successful first regatta of the season with great wins in
Boys Junior quad
Boys Junior 16 Quad
Girls Junior 16 Eight
Girls Junior 15 Eight.
A special mention must go to the Girls junior 14 quad which made it through 4 rounds and all the way to the final but just missed out by half a boat length in the final. A great achievement as they all just started in September and have made awesome progress thus far.
Next weekend our senior rowers travel to Skibbereen Regatta in Cork on Friday afternoon to compete in the two day regatta which is also part of an Irish trial, so best of luck to them.
Training continues after school this week.
