A promising start to the new season even if the weather didn’t play ball!! The 1sts produced a great draw narrowly missing out on the win whilst the 2nds played a fantastic match and were equal to the challenge of Cookstown but unfortunately went down 1-0 to an early well taken goal. Resilience and determined play made the equaliser seem a genuine possibility in the second half but to no avail.
The U14s played some great hockey especially in the second half but were unlucky not to pull back from a two goal deficit. Our newly formed U13 team were also without two of their most influential players and despite regaining the upper hand in the second half were unable to close on an early lead from a strong Cookstown opposition.
Great job girls plenty to work on for next week.
