Huge congratulations to Yr11 pupil Casey Howe who has once again been called up to represent Northern Ireland U17 ladies football and will be travelling to Turkey this February.
This also seems like an appropriate opportunity to acknowledge that Casey has been nominated for the Impartial Reporter’s Fermanagh Trust/Greg Turley Bursary Youth Sports Personality of the Year Award along with fellow ERGS pupils Robbie Mills (Rugby) and Zoe McCutcheon (Rowing). We wish all three of these talented young athletes the best of luck for the awards night which takes place this Friday in the Lough Erne.
Casey was also a monthly winner in the Fermanagh Herald sports award for October and is now a contender for overall Youth Sports Personality of the year to be revealed at the awards dinner in the Killyhevlin Hotel on the 9th February. Casey has also been nominated in the Fermanagh and Omagh Sports Forum Awards in the Junior Sports Personality Award section, for which the awards night will be held in the Silver Birches, Omagh on the 23rd February.
